Chemically, Torlon® is a polyamideimide(PAI), a reaction product of trimellitic anhydride and aromatic diamines. The combination of aromatic groups and imidelinkages are responsible for the polymer’s exceptional thermal stability. The amide groups impart flexibility and elongation,which results in an engineering plastic with exceptional toughness. The result of this is a more consistent tune in differentconditions and loads.
